ANA 2020 CONVENTION SET TO HOLD TOMORROW

Despite the lingering crisis in the national body of the association of Nigerian authors, its annual convention is set to begin tomorrow in Ilorin, Kwara state. According to one of its official Whatsapp pages, the former Deputy Vice-Chancellor of the University of Ilorin, Professor Bayo Lawal, will deliver a keynote address at the convention.

In a statement published on the same platform, the local organizing committee has assured that all delegates will be made to use the facemasks and sanitize their hands throughout the event. As released by Mr. Aderinoye, ‘There shall also be provision for virtual participation at this convention so as to accommodate other members outside the locality of the state and convention.’ The highlight of the event would be a session on the late poet and dramatist, Professor John Pepper Clark.
