Interview with Bookseller Segun Aribisala
Nurudeen Segun ARIBISALA received his BA in Literature-in-English from Lagos State University, graduating top of his class. He served as an intern at the Nation newspaper, where he has some bylines, and an editorial assistant at Bookcraft Limited. He has volunteered at Ake Arts and Book Festival and Lagos Book and Art Festival respectively for three consecutive years (2014-2016), and was the moderator at the just concluded Lagos Book and Art Festival, 2019. He is currently Marketing Manager at Quramo Publishing and the person in charge of the publishing company’s independent bookstore and café.
BookRepublic: What do you do for a living?
Aribisala: Primarily, I work as the person in charge of sales and distribution at Quramo Publishing Limited and also double as the manager of Qbookcafe, which is the firm’s bookstore and café. I am a team member of Qfest, which is an annual literary and art festival organised by Quramo, and I am also, sometimes, involved in proofreading set to publish manuscripts.
