A Career in Book Editing With Tobi Idowu

Tobi Idowu is a writer and emerging art and culture critic/editor. As well as writing about literature, he contributes social commentaries on the various media platforms. He currently works as an editor at Kraft Books Ltd.

BookRepublic: You recently started work full-time as an editor with Kraft Books. How did your experience as a freelance journalist, writer, book reviewer and editor prepare you for this role?

Tobi: I would say the aggregate experience I have had in those various interrelated roles has virtually set me up well for the editorial work I just began. More so, I had always hoped to work in and experience serious publishing, so there was always that feeling at the back of my mind that most of my works around and within the writing space were preparing me for working in the industry I just joined, and ultimately academia!
